Medtronic will be sharing it's data on their Infuse spine device with Yale researchers (article).  The Infuse has been the cause of a number of adverse events resulting in significant harm to patients. The device has been on the market for 10 years.  The type of information collected will be diverse.  This is a great opportunity to see behind the curtain of what data companies are actually collecting.
Perhaps a question the Yale researchers should ask is if this information had been made available to them earlier and as it came in to Medtronic, would they be able to issue an "early warning".
